I am on a Macbook Air with an M1 Chip I have tried to use the

sudo /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Versions/Current/Resources/airport -z

and then

sudo ifconfig en0 lladdr 00:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff
