The most recent version of draft-pantos-hls-rfc8216bis is supported by the most recent version of the OSes. Often the support is present in earlier versions of the OS as well.

Regarding EXT-X-STREAM-INF - Of course it is supported.

    and I have no thumbnails in the Safari native player. Could you please tell me why?
