Microsoft Edge & Authenticator account login iOS 18.1 (22B5054e)

I have been trying for 8 days to get logged back in to my Microsoft account via Edge and the Microsoft Authenticator. No luck. At this point I have become extremely agitated. I FINALLY got in touch with Microsoft tech support. They say it is purely an Apple issue. I believe they are correct. I have reset my Microsoft password and uninstalled and reinstalled that authenticator so many time it's not funny. I can log in to my Microsoft Account on my MacBook M3 Pro, My 12" iPad and my Desktop Windows 11 PC without an issue. I simply cannot log in on my new iPhone 16 Pro. I keep getting an error in Edge and the Authenticator "too many attempts".

I am running iOS 18.1 (22B5054e). Before I go completely mad someone from APPLE fix or respond to this issue. I absolutely need to get logged in to my Microsoft account on my iPhone 16 Pro.

BTW, I had zero problems on my iPhone 13 Pro. I did a backup restore from the 13 Pro running the 18 beta to the 16 Pro running the 18 beta. Is this an iPhone glitch?. YES I know it's beta but surely someone would have fixed this by now??? Please help!!

iPhone 15 Pro Max does not have this problem, and the system version is the same as yours. After I tried to uninstall and reinstall the verifier, your problem was not reproduced.

I cannot login to outlook.com on Edge, Safari or Chrome. All those browsers want me to login to my Microsoft account or sync my setting. Upon clicking on and trying to login to my account on Safari or Chrome the screen goes blank, never to recover. When I try on Edge, it want me to use the Authenticator, which of course I cannot do either because it wants me to setup my account, which I cannot do because it will not log me in due to "too many attempts".

I cannot login to outlook.com nor any Microsoft address without first logging in to my account. It's a vicious loop of going no where. Anything associated with Microsoft on my phone is fubar'd. No Word, no Excel, no Outlook or anything associated with my account/syncs are possible. This issue is "only" on my iPhone 16 Pro! My iPad running 17.7 has no issues!

Something must have gotten glitched with my Microsoft account when transferring my data for 13 Pro to 16 Pro, so says Microsoft tech support.

I fear I may have to wipe my new iPhone 16 and just start from scratch, which I deeply dread.
