Since I updated ios to version 18.1 (22B5054e), I’m experiencing significant performance issues. Specifically, the app has become dramatically slow, particularly when trying to send messages. There’s a noticeable delay of one to two seconds between pressing the send button and the message actually being sent. This lag is frustrating and hinders smooth communication.
Been having the exact same issue for the past 3 days. Been troubleshooting in all directions with no luck - deleted large storage convos/groups, deleted and reinstalled WhatsApp, configured app settings differently - all with no success. The odd observation though is that (1) WhatsApp Business doesn’t have this bug (i assume different code base) but (2) and more weirdly, when you open your chats via the unread section in the header bar the delay is no longer there (even on same chats that you would access via the “All” section). Eventually I tried restoring Whatsapp on another Iphone with an IoS version lower than 18.x and the issue was not there. Apple needs to urgently get this annoying and disturbing bug fixed!

Whatsapp is stuck on "Connecting..."
Started just in the last couple days. Wasn't all the time, but now I can't connect whether I'm on 5G of Wifi.
Have reset Network Settings to no avail.

I have the same issue and WhatsApp business has been draining my battery as well. this happened on my iPhone 15 PM while 15P is working normally.
Did reinstall WhatsApp business but it still doesn’t works well.
any ideas?
