Does the current beta support Airplay 2 and is it backwards compatible with Airplay?
Does it require new Airplay 2 devices? If not, how to access multiroom features?

Please come to Session 509 “Introducing AirPlay 2” on Thursday (or watch it in the WWDC app or on the developer website) for details on how you can adopt AirPlay 2 in your app. There’s an AirPlay Lab Friday morning, too.
The current iOS Beta supports AirPlay 2 by switching the “AirPlay 2” switch in Settings -> Developer. Single Speaker only in the first Beta; upcoming betas will have Multi-Room.
Upcoming Betas for tvOS and macOS will have similar mechanisms to enable AirPlay 2 (on tvOS, the switch will enable the tv as an AirPlay 2 Sender).
