What channel bandwidth does Apple’s Wi‑Fi Aware support? 40 MHz or 80 MHz?

Apple supports Wi‑Fi Aware, but it’s not clear what channel bandwidth Apple’s Wi‑Fi Aware uses. Is it 80 MHz or 40 MHz? Also, what is the channel bandwidth used by AirDrop?

There’s nothing Apple-specific about this. My understanding is that the Wi-Fi Aware standard has mechanisms whereby a peer advertises the channel bandwidth to other peers [1].

what is the channel bandwidth used by AirDrop?

We don’t document AirDrop for third-party use.

[1] I’m not an expert in the standard, but I asked about this internally and folks who are tell me that you should look at Operation Mode field format info in Table 81.
