BlietoothHFP to MFi hearingaids

Hi, thanks for the question. Since HFP is a bidirectional transport, it will always present as a input/output route and HFP input + hearing-device output is not currently supported.

Are you asking for a route where BT HFP mic is input and Hearing Aids is output ? I would expect the hearing aids mic to be used with hearing aids output. Is there a reason you don't want that route ? Can you file a radar ? I can investigate it further

I'm curious as to why you prefer the HFP mic instead of the Hearing aids mic for this use-case ?

I want one conversation partner to be able to talk into a bluetooth microphone and have that port to a hearing aid wearer's iPhone and into their hearing aids. The bluetooth microphone might be worn by someone distant from the hearing aids, in a lecture hall, on a trail, in a loud restaurant. This would duplicate Oticon's Connect Clip or Phonac's Roger microphone. It 'should' be quite simple since the independent links are well established.

Simplier use case - Live Listen with a lapel microphone rather than an iPhone.

If I understand correctly, You have a use-case where both BT HFP and Hearing aids are connected to the same phone... I'm actually not sure if we can have two bluetooth devices active for the same phone.
