The archive "XCode_9_beta_4.xip" is damaged and can't be expanded

Hi,


I downloaded the xcode 9 from developer download page and failed to extract it with an error:


The archive "XCode_9_beta_4.xip" is damaged and can't be expanded.


I checked the file with pkg-util, it displayed "invalid checksum".


I'm on Mac OSX 10.12.5 and the harddrive has 180GB+ free space.


I have downloaded it completely for 3 times on Mac/Windows. I don't think the file is corrupted during network transmission.


Please help. Thanks.

See your duplicate Xcode_8.2_beta_2.xip is damaged

I've got the same problem with you. Xcode_9_beta_4.xip with ---Status: package is invalid (checksum did not verify).

Mine OS Version is 10.12.5

Me too on 10.12.6 - 'data is corrupted'.

In my case, using another program to open the xip file worked. Instead of 'The Unarchiver (default)' I used 'Archive Utility'.
