I am looking to test an app on a older iphone and would lke to know what I need to restore my iphone 4S to a compatible iOS and where to find it. It is an unsed phone by me so te cellular is turned off.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can only restore it to it's original iOS that it shipped with, by the way.
- Max iOS for that device is 9.x
- minimum compatible Xcode in that example would be 7.x I think.
- Max iOS support w/Xcode 5.1.1, as an example, is iOS 7.1
