Hello everyone,
We are trying to transfer a published iOS VPN app between Apple Developer accounts. The transfer is blocked by an error that we cannot understand. Hoping someone here has faced this and can share insight.
About the app
- The app is a VPN client for iOS
- It uses an App Group to enable communication between the main app and its Network Extension
- The App Group is not shared with any other application in the account — it is used only within this single app
The error
When attempting Transfer App in App Store Connect, we get exactly this error:
"You can only transfer sandboxed apps that are not sharing
a group container."
Our question
How can we transfer this app, and what might be causing this error in our case?
