Unable to Complete Apple Developer Forum Post on iPhone Safari

Hello Apple Developer Team,

I am trying to create a new post on the Apple Developer Forums using my iPhone. I can enter the title and description, but I am having difficulty completing the form and submitting it.

The issue includes:

  • The keyboard covers part of the page.
  • I am unable to easily select the Topic and Subtopic.
  • The page is difficult to navigate while typing.
  • I am unsure if this is a Safari issue or a problem with the Developer Forum.

Device: iPhone 16 Browser: Safari iOS Version: (Enter your iOS version)

Could you please advise how to resolve this issue?

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

Accessing the forum on iPhone is a poor experience.

So, I publish on forum only from a Mac…

On your issues:

Are you unable to publish or is it difficult (was your post written on iPhone ?)

The keyboard covers part of the page.

That's true in landscape, less a problem in Portrait

I am unable to easily select the Topic and Subtopic.

What is precisely the problem ? I have no issue there

The page is difficult to navigate while typing.

Because of screen size probably ?

I am unsure if this is a Safari issue or a problem with the Developer Forum.

No, I think it is mainly due to screen size.

Forums is expected to work on mobile devices, and especially in Safari on iPhone. If that’s not working, I encourage you to file a bug about it.

Please post your bug number, just for the record.

Speaking personally, I’m like Claude31 in that I do all my work on the Mac, so I don’t have a lot of direct experience with this. However, I tried this out today and it worked reasonably well for me. For example, when creating a post I had no problems selected the topic and subtopic.

I’m on an iPhone 13 mini (mini forever!) running 26.5.2.

So, if you do file a bug about this, I encourage you to be specific about the issues you hit. In cases like this it’s always a good idea to include screenshots, screen recordings, and so on.

Share and Enjoy
