I'm posting here to see if anyone else has experienced an issue whereby a macOS app is searchable under Computers > Mac Apps in Jamf Pro, but when attempting to add the app record the Web UI spins and logs show the following error:
"com.jamfsoftware.jss.objects.macapp.MacApp.getNotification()" because "macApp" is null
Local installed app is native macOS:
DTPlatformName=macosx
Mach-O universal x86_64 + arm64
App Store API lookup returns iOS catalog metadata:
kind=software
features=iosUniversal
supportedDevices includes MacDesktop-MacDesktop
Expected ABM API result for Mac Apps:
kind=mac-software
The App Store shows the app as compatible with macOS and iOS, and the app was submitted to App Store Connect as two separate builds - one for each platform. The app is available in the country selected in Jamf Pro, although it is hidden and only accessible with the direct URL.
Apple Developer Support have been unable to assist or diagnose the root cause, and have asked us to post here.
