I have tested my app on many iOS versions e.g. 26.5.0 27.0 beta and many more for all iPhone and iOS devices on simulator. I wanted to ask, it's difficult to have so many real devices. So what should we do for that?
Only Simulators no Real Devices
Thank you for the post. Simulators are great to target different versions and screen sizes. I would recommend always to keep one device on the latest release version to do all your testing and use the simulator to target different version of iOS.
Also I always recommend TestFlight is your best tool for getting your app onto a diverse range of real devices without owning them. If you have testers with different devices you can use that to internal testing and distribute the app to your colleagues or internal QA team. They will naturally have a variety of different iPhones and iOS versions.
Simulators are incredibly powerful and should be used for 80-90% of your day-to-day testing in my opinion. However the recommendation is to always use a device to test all apps before uploading to the App Store.
