Hi all — running into an issue I've seen reported by other developers here recently, hoping someone from Apple or with a workaround can chime in.
App: MapSwap for Safari Apple ID: 6782704808 Released: 2026-07-08, currently "Ready for Sale," build 1.0.1 (6) validated 2026-07-29
The problem: the app does not show up anywhere in App Store search — not for generic terms, not even for its own exact name "MapSwap" or "MapSwap for Safari." This has been the case for about 4 weeks now, well past any normal indexing delay.
What I've confirmed:
- Direct App Store link works fine: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mapswap-for-safari/id6782704808
- iTunes lookup by ID works and returns full correct metadata: https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=6782704808 (resultCount 1)
- iTunes Search API by exact name returns nothing at all: https://itunes.apple.com/search?term=MapSwap&country=us&entity=software → resultCount 0, and https://itunes.apple.com/search?term=mapswap+for+safari&country=us&entity=software → resultCount 0
- All App Store Connect metadata (name, subtitle, keywords, support URL) is clean, current, and consistent — no leftover text from an earlier working title. (The Bundle ID does reference an old pre-launch project name, but the rename happened before the app was ever submitted/live, so there's no history of it being indexed under a different name.)
So this looks like a pure search-index problem, not a ranking, review, or metadata issue — the app is fully live and fetchable by ID, just invisible to term search.
I filed a Developer Support ticket (Case #20000127300006) and was told that channel is administrative-only and to post here / file via Feedback Assistant instead — so I've done both.
This looks like the same pattern reported here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/815203
Has anyone found an actual fix, or a way to get this properly escalated to an engineer? Happy to share more diagnostics if useful.
