My Legal Name Has No Surname — Why Can’t Apple Provide a Solution?

My legal name is SUNIL, and my government-issued ID contains only SUNIL. I have no surname/family name. My father’s name is SANTOSH, but he also has no surname, so I cannot use his name as my surname.

I contacted Developer Support, and a senior Advisor told me that individual enrollment requires both a first and last name matching my ID. However, I still don't know how a person with a single legal name should complete the enrollment fields.

Apple's documentation about mononymous names says a single name can be represented as the familyName. Does this apply to Apple Developer Program enrollment?

Apple Support or anyone who has successfully enrolled with a single legal name: what is the correct way to complete the First Name and Last Name fields?

Thanks @sunil_ for the post.

Your question seems related to Developer Account I would recommend you to contact the developer account support at https://developer.apple.com/contact to make sure they are aware of the issue as that team is not monitoring the forums for privacy constraints.

The developer account team will be able to provide you with guidance to enroll.
