My iPhone 17 became practically unusable after installing the iOS 27.2 beta. After charging it to 85%, it doesn't even make it through a single night anymore. Yesterday at around 10:00 PM the battery was at about 80%, and by 5:00 AM it had dropped to just 9%.
I expected this kind of battery drain to last no more than a day due to indexing and post-update background processing, but the issue has persisted for a good three days now. In fact, you can literally watch the battery percentage dropping before your eyes.
I understand that installing beta software comes with risks, but I'm genuinely disappointed by this situation and hope that the next update arrives soon. At the moment, it's a disaster. The phone is essentially connected to a charger almost all the time.
