Xcode 9 beta opinion/debate

So i have been working with xcode through all his beta stages.

even tho its still in his beta stages, I must admit i'm very disappointment with xcode current status, and it’s looks like apple does not investing in theirs developers.

After working with lots of different IDE’s it’s unbelievable how xcode left in the behind.

That’s the reason I have decided to go with these betas and see where apple aiming to.

I guess they going to fix all these ‘xcode cpu eating problem’ and other different bugs but still, it seems xcode left way behind there.

For my current application I have started to use AppCode, and it’s a life changer.

They have Amazing refactor system (like all other intelliJ IDE’s), amazing auto completion and overall better experience.

Yes, the lack of storyboard in appcode is a big drawback, so I’m using both of course, but still at least I can code properly.

I think apple should give up and teamup with intelliJ, since their xcode if one of the worst IDE out there.

What you all guys think ?

Feel your pain - 'xcode cpu eating problem’. I wonder Apple hasn't addressed thsis issue for at least 4 beat cycle. Current Xcode IDE is not wokrable. Unfortunatly, I'm using iOS 11 features that I have to test out with Xcode 9. Hope Apple can address this issue soooner rather than later.

Missing IB would be a no go to AppCode for me.

Sure, XCode can improve (further refine error messages and provide proposals for fixing in more cases, notably when build error, would be a big plus).

In the same area, the need to pretty often clean build forlder is annoying ; we get accustomed to it, but…

But overall, I find XCode to be a pretty complete and powerful environment. I'm not looking for replacement.
