Maps - Siri Watch Face

Should Maps be listed as a data source for the Siri face?

Maps is still not listed effective beta 8.

During the watchOS 4 Keynote, Maps integration was announced as a feature.

I reported the omission of Maps as a bug, and engineering replied:

"Engineering has determined that this issue behaves as intended."

Is this accurate?

Agree it still isnt there, but was a couple of betas ago, and travel times worked then. Since they removed it as a data source, travel times do not show up on my watch. I guess they will enable this in the GM.

I would think this build is the GM. (We're only a few weeks before public release.)

Perhaps Apple decided to scrap the feature? Battery life perhaps?

Would like clarity, confirmation from Apple here

I'm pretty sure it will be in the next build which is likely to be the GM. This current build also doesn't have iMessage iCloud synch enabled (actually just read that this feature wont be coming out in first iOS11 release unfortunately), but did previously. When both were enabled, I didnt experience any battery issues.

I was wrong, the GM does not include Maps as a data source for Watch 1. Maybe only for GPS enabled watches?

Feature was definitely removed. Probably battery life. However, the Apple Watch app still mentions “traffic on your commute home”. Unsure if a bug or feature removed.
