Xcode9 click to switch tab but moved to a new window

😢😢😢😢😢 I'm using Xcode9 on my new MPB 15 inch with touch bar, and I'm facing a wired thing.


When there are more than two tabs in Xcode9, Assume that I'm focusing on the first tab, then I click the third tab (I use touch pad of MBP, not mouse), sometimes the third tab will be focused successfully, but sometimes it will be dragged out and pop up a new window. I think the reason might be the 'finger's tiny move after clicking', it was considered as a drag operation by Xcode9.


Well, I can't remember how many times I triggerd this wired action since I updated my Xcode, I just want this fixed or is there any way to prevent this 'move to new window' operation?😢😢😢😢😢

I am in trouble too.


I recommend you with using shortcut keys


Shortcuts are:

  • CMD + SHIFT + } - Select Next tab
  • CMD + SHIFT + { - Select Previous tab

Yeah that helps, but sometimes I just can't help to use touchpad 😟😟

I settled this trouble.


go to Preferences -> Navigation -> Double-Click-Navigation is Same-as-Click.
