What do I need to do to have the latest version of xCode on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5?
hi, I am trying to have the latest version of Xcode on my mac, my teacher said I need to get a newer computer but I am sure there should be a way of having the latest version of XCode to work on my macBook.
I belive you'd need Xcode 7.3.1 found on the developer download page.
Note that it will not allow you to work with the latest SDKs or latest version of Swift. So check the requirements of what specific language or SDK is required for your class.

You can't get there from here. macOS 10.10.5 would be Xcode 7.2.1 - see the Xcode wiki

Not w/macOS 10.10.5 - Latest version Xcode is v9.0, and requires minimum macOS 10.12.6 - do you know if your MB will support 10.12.6?
