I purchased a new LTE Apple Watch 3 on Thursday. I set it up with default OS but declined Cell setup when first setting up. I upgraded to watchOS4.1 to get the streaming music app, so after I upgraded to 4.1 I go to activate Cellular with ATT. Upon trying to activate the ICCID number says no sim. Apple support was unable to help as theyve emailed me instructions to downgrade but they were not correct.
Is anyone else having these issues?
Is it 4.1 related or do I have a borked Apple Watch 3?
I have the same issue on Watch OS 4.1 and iOS 11.1. Verizon has been no help on the phone for over 12hrs and Apple was not successful after 4hrs. Hoping for an update this week that will allow me to activate cellular.
After speaking to an ATT and Apple Tech the only solution was to send the watch back to Apple to downgrade the OS or wait until 4.1 is released and hope it fixes the issue. I am still within my 14day period so Apples says I can just return it. I wish this made it into the 4.1 issues or I wouldnt have upgraded, however putting a beta on your device is a risk you take.
