How do I install two versions of Xcode on the same machine -- Xcode 8 and Xcode 9?

You can installXCode 9.1 Beta (that's what I did) by copying the beta in the application folder.


Take care not to open both XCode simultaneously.

And to always know which version you are using !

I really need to be able to use 8. There are old samples that won't run on 9. Is it not possible to have 8 and 9 installed on the same machine?
