I do realize that the haptic feed back is not working in the version of the beta, but notice when I set a timer on the watch, no tone is heard when the timer is complete. Has anyone noticed?

Is your watch in Mute mode (Sound/Haptics setting).
I noticed this morning my alarm went off without sound with the mute on, worked with mute off.
In the beta 3 of the Apple Watch one of the issue is that the Haptic engine doesn't work, so it's totally normal:
I am having the same issue, except with the alarm too. When I receive a call, my watch will ring like normal. The mute is off and I've checked everything I can think of. Did you get yours to work?
Correction, with the timer too. I see your comment was about the alarm.
