SFPro will not install

I have downloaded the Apple UI Design Resources for Sketch, which includes a packaged version of the SFPro font called "San Francisco Pro.pkg".

However, when I run the installer to install SFPro, it auto selects the destination, which is: "Install for me only" (my home directory) - and this produces an error message in the installer that reads "You cannot install San Francisco Pro Fonts in this location. The San Francisco Pro Fonts installer does not allow its software to be installed here."

How can I install SFPro, so that when I run the Apple UI Design Resources, I won't be missing the fonts Apple has baked into those templates?

Directions for solving this problem:

Download the free mac app called Suspicous Package

It says "user has permission to add files to Home folder"... so it's comforting to know you are not doing something wrong, there seems to be an error with the pkg file (because it won't unpackage to your Home folder or allow you to pick a different directory)

Go into "All Files" tab of Suspicious Package

drag and drop the fonts to your Downloads folder (other folders might work)

launch Font Book

install using Font Book

I also had this issue when trying to install SF Pro fonts, to use in UI mockups in Affinity Designer.

I am not sure if it is related, but after I clicked on the mini padlock on the top right of the window, which shows the certificate, installing "for this user only" worked for me. Not sure if that was what fixed this for me, but it's worth a try.

The fonts then appear in Font Book under "user".

It doesn't actually select that option, although it's highlighted. Just select it manually, all will be good.
