setText on a Label inside a Group fails to update

In a watch app, if I put a label inside a "Group" , setText() does not change the text on a label when it is inside a "Group".

The demo code:

@IBOutlet var pinLocationText: WKInterfaceLabel!
@IBAction func pinButtonPress()
     { pinLocationText.setText("Reset") 
}

executes correctly when pinLocationText is outside a "Group", but fails to display the text when the label is inside a "Group".

So, how do I update the display value of a Label when it is inside a Group?
