we want to use the iPhone as a Peripheral in our Projekt. We are able to start and stop advertising and of course put some data into the advertising data.
The Problem is: we want to discover this iPhone not with non-iphone device! So if we use the advertising in foreground everything works fine, after we switch into the background we see the "overflow" area as manufactoring data. There are round about 17 Bytes of manufactoring "coded" data.
We try to put some UUIDs into it and get the following results:
- 1800: 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00
- 1801 :01 00 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
- 1800+1801: 01 00 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00
so we are able to reproduce it everytime. Did someone know how this UUIDs are coded into the "overflow"->manufactoring data area?
