Some users get error msg when they update to latest version from App Store “Your device runs on an old iOS version, please update your device.”


The minimum deployment target of our apps is iOS 10.0 and the users reporting this issue are using iOS 11.x.


This has happened even when the user has the latest iOS version. Only solution is to delete the app and download it from AppStore.


Since this error is not at application level so developers can’t do anything to fix this but can anyone explain what could be the reason? Is anyone else facing the same issue? Bug in specific version of iOS/iTunes?
