How do I deploy a xamarin app onto my device

So I purchased a MacBook Pro yesterday because I wanted to get into iOS development with Xamarin.

And this is what I did..

I installed Visual Studio for Mac

I installed XCode 9

And then I installed Xamarin for Visual Studio on my PC.


I then created a new blank iOS iPhone project (single view) in visual studio on my PC and then I tried debugging it onto my device which is plugged in to my MacBook.

And it keeps saying


Could not find any available provisioning profiles for iOS

Do you have a paid Developer Program account or are you attempting to utilize Xcode's free provisioning?


Is there a reason you're using an older Xcode? Current version is 9.2...
