App: "Nappkin" Apple ID: 639242085 Hi, We are getting several "Missing API declaration" warnings (see below) when submitting our iOS app to the AppStore. Our app doesn't not use the mentioned api's but apparently one or more of the libraries we use do. We have included a privacy manifest that states this fact (included below). Why are we still getting these warnings/errors when we have included a privacy manifest? If each framework used must have a manifest can you tell me which frameworks are in error? We have no influence on the contents of the frameworks used in our apps. How can we comply if a framework we use does not have a required manifest and is unable or unwilling to include it? Our app is a point-of-sale app used by 100's of professionals. We have been in the AppStore for more than 10 years. Our app is fully dependend on several frameworks and not being able to update our app will mean we have to close our business. Thanks! Simulators will not install. Run destinations all empty. Can't even run on device. XCode 15.4 beta Sonoma 14.4.1 Intel Mac 16" MBP Attached screenshot of error. iOS 17.5 beta 2 (21F5058d) "Not compatible with XCode 15.4 beta" No run destinations appear. Not even 17.4 device that is plugged in. This all worked yesterday after initial XCode upgrade to 15.4 beta. Now all destinations are missing, even though they appear as installed in the 'Platforms' window. (yes I have rebooted and restarted XCode).

The error occurs whenever the collectionView need to increase it's height beyond its initial height. The collectionView is inside a tableView. All autolayout constraints are set and everything use to work fine in previous version of iOS. *** Assertion failure in -[MYAPP.MYCollectionView _updateLayoutAttributesForExistingVisibleViewsFadingForBoundsChange:], UICollectionView.m:6218

Hello Everyone, This is regarding recent upgrade issue on my iPhone. I am still struggling to get access to my iCloud storage data for iMessages, Notes with password, Health related stats, etc. I would like to explain chronology of the entire event. There was a recent IOS 17.4.1 update came on April 07th, 2024. I clicked on the update but nothing happened then suddenly my phone passcode wasn’t working. I restarted my phone then the phone was not even accepting my face id. I went to the Apple store. Apple support team have requested me to reset (erase entire data) iPhone which I had already done on next day. I had no others options actually. My phone passcode was not working in reality due to iso update because I haven’t changed my passcode since more than a year. It is also not due to iPhone screen issue which apple team was saying to me initially. Unfortunately, my Apple ID credentials wasn’t working after phone reset so I had to put my Apple ID on recovery mode which took almost 15days to recover even though process is automated as per apple support team which they can’t reduce it. I understand that they are doing for privacy reason but who wants such privacy when even owner can’t access his own account for 15days. I offered them to verify my personal details such as email ID, phone number, passport number and any other details which they can use to expedite the process but they didn’t help on this. At end of the recovery (after 15days), they used same details i.e. my email ID and SMS on my registered number to verify. I don’t understand their logic but if they can take 2-3 business working days for same process then it makes sense to wait rather than 15days. After I regained access to my apple id, I have restored everything using my iCloud storage. I observed that few applications such as contacts, WhatsApp, etc. are restored properly but some of the applications such as iMessage, Notes (specifically locked notes), health data were not restored. iMessage are not synchronizing with iCloud storage when I tried to do it manually too in setting >> apple id>> iCloud >> show all >> messages in iCloud >> sync now. Nothing happens after clicking on it. Locked notes are still showing an error message “Can’t view Note. ‘This note can’t be viewed because encryption key wasn’t found in iCloud keychain. Resetting your end-to-end encrypted data can cause this’”. I have never used custom password to lock note instead I was using Face ID earlier to lock or unlock some of notes. All these things are happening because it is asking for old iPhone passcode to connect with iCloud storage while resetting my iPhone. I am trying to enter all the previous passcodes. a. When I entered correct passcode, then there is no error but still applications are not synchronizing with iCloud storage. b. When I enter incorrect passcodes (multiple passcodes but one at a time) then it gives an error “Verification failed”. It means it is detecting correct passcode as per above point. There is some issue with passcode synchronization with iCloud storage. I have opened a case with apple support team but meanwhile If any one of you had faced similar problem, then kindly suggest ways to me so I will regain access to some important personal information which are present in my iCloud storage. I would like to inform everyone that don’t rely completely on single brand or product. Take multiple backups may be on personal laptops, SSDs, etc. I learnt a lesson that even apple products, software & services are not reliable so think before buying costly products just for sake of brand name.

We are using and iOS version 17.4.1 and 17.5(beta) , and when are we facing the issue for local network permission in our app. Success scenario steps: Don't allow the local network permission in our App Allow it manually in app setting for local network permission(works only in first install of the App) We are able to call the API successfully Error scenario steps: Allow the local network permission popup to app when asked for permission Call the API successfully Uninstall the app and install the same app again and don't allow the local network permission API call fail's Manually change the local network permission to allow in app settings Still the API call fails even if we allow the local network permission Conclusion : We are getting API error when re-install the app and if it is not allowed local network permission as well as when we allow the local network permission. Looks like caching issue. Note: Even if uninstall and install multiple time and allow the local network permission from 2nd time onward API keeps on failing , but these scenario work perfectly fine on iOS 16 version and below. Even the existing app stopped working after updating iOS version to 17 and above. Also we found alternatively when we uninstall the app and restart the device and install it back again it works fine for the first time as a fresh install. Additionally : We are not calling local network permission explicitly, when the API call is happening this is native popup coming on iOS

As title says...I'm fairly adept at navigating iphone features so it doesnt seem to be something simple. Clock has completely disappeared from my phone. Removed from control center, not found in apps, even searching doesn't pull up the app. I'm at a loss. My alarms and timers run through the native clock app, so I'd really like it fixed.

Are there certain scenarios where the in-app safari browser may block a redirect from occurring? I have two separate mobile applications named A and B. Application A redirects to application B after clicking on a specific menu option. Currently, i've been experiencing an issue on application B where the login page begins to hang after attempting to login with SSO. There are no network calls being reported referencing a redirect request, however, i can remove a specific query parameter and a redirection will occur, but ends up returning a 400 as that parameter is needed. I'd like to note, using direct login works for application B using the same query parameters and does not hang. SSO also works normally on Application A

To all whom see this post, I am a loyalty user of iPhone over decade; however I start to use an Android phone 2 years ago due to the Android allow the Dual App at the same time. I just wonder this is a function which was created years on Android, and why there is no news about IOS will allow it for such a long time? Due to my needs of work and personal life, I have to use same app with 2 different accounts at the same time to catch up everything. Under this situation, an Android phone fills my needs perfectly. But I still wanna say the IOS is a great、amazing system and I really wanna get back to iPhone. But I have no idea why Apple doesn't make this change especially it seems not a big change. Will this function finally come into IOS soon or later?

Hello everyone, I'm currently working on implementing a vaccine tracker and reminder feature for an application. As part of this feature, I plan to collect basic information about babies from their parents, such as name, gender, and date of birth, in order to create personalized profile cards and assist in tracking vaccinations. My question is regarding the gender field: Is it acceptable to ask for only 'male' or 'female' as options, or should I include other gender options as well to ensure inclusivity? Additionally, considering that I'll be asking for gender and date of birth, I'm concerned about potential rejection of the app build by Apple. Can anyone provide insight into whether this could be an issue? Thank you for your help and guidance!

Hi folks, When trying to distribute my app with transporter, I'm stuck for 2 days on asset validation with the following error : "Asset validation failed (90704) Missing app icon. Include a large app icon as a 1024 by 1024 pixel PNG in the asset catalog of apps built for iOS, iPadOS, or watchOS. Without this icon, apps can't be submitted for review...." I tried many workarounds, switching to svg, then png, then svg again, create an asset group with many file sizes, go back to simpliest implementation... I'm using Visual studio 17.9.2 (rollback from more recent version due to incompatibility with XCode), a macbook air with sonoma 14.4 and Xcode 15.3. Has anyone had the same problem and found a solution ?

Hello Geeks, After testing our iOS app using MobSF, the report highlighted that the binary has Runpath Search Path (@rpath) set. In certain cases an attacker can abuse this feature to run arbitrary executable for code execution and privilege escalation.

The Runpath Search Path directs the dynamic linker to search for dynamic libraries (dylibs) in a specified order of paths, similar to how Unix searches for binaries in $PATH. However, this setup introduces a vulnerability wherein an attacker could place a malicious dylib in one of the initial paths, thereby hijacking the legitimate library sought by the linker.

Despite attempting to manually strip the binary following instructions from https://inesmartins.github.io/mobsf-ipa-binary-analysis-step-by-step/index.html, the same warnings persist in the report. We urgently seek assistance in resolving this issue and eagerly await your response.

I have view hierarchy like this: NavigationView { VStack { ScrollView { // some content } .background(NavigationLink(destination: MyView(), isActive: $isActive) { EmptyView() }) // snipped } } When the user follows the navigation link to MyView, by default NavigationBar and MyView is laid out like in a VStack. How can I make them like in a ZStack(alignment: .topLeading) ? i.e. I like MyView extends beneath the NavigationBar. Here is the MyView: GeometryReader { geo in HStack { // some content } .onAppear { hideNavigationbar = false } .onTapGesture(perform: { hideNavigationbar.toggle() }) .navigationBarHidden(hideNavigationbar) .navigationBarTitleDisplayMode(.inline) // snipped } The problem is, when hideNavigationbar toggles, MyView would shift up and down because its height would change. I want NavigationBar sits on top of MyView like in a ZStack so that when NavigationBar hides, MyView will not shift (only uncover its top portion). What is the proper way to achieve that? XCode: 15.3 using SwiftUI iOS: 15

I am trying to build a Swift app for iOS which depends on an open-source API called BrainFlow. BrainFlow is written in C++. Due to App Store restrictions, the API must be built by hand into a framework so that it can be signed with my developer certificate. So that's what I did. I now have a signed framework that I can embed in my app and that Apple is OK with. BrainFlow depends on a third-party library called SimpleBLE, an open-source API for connecting to BLE devices. So I built that too into its own signed framework. So far so good. The problem comes when my app tries to connect to a BLE device via BrainFlow. BrainFlow is designed to explicitly load its third-party libs like plug-ins, and it is hardcoded to assume that all dylibs are located in the same directory. However, when I build the BrainFlow framework so that it embeds the SimpleBLE dylib in the same directory as the BrainFlow dylib, App Store Connect rejects my app due to a policy violation. One solution might be to query dyld and have it return the resolved location of the SimpleBLE dylib. For example if the dylib is referenced as @rpath/libsimpleble-c.dylib, then the query would return its full path after resolving @rpath. I do not know how to do that or even if it's possible. Another solution might be to embed the SimpleBLE dylib into the BrainFlow framework in such a way that it does not violate App Store policy. Again I am unable to figure out how to do that or even if it is possible. The relevant BrainFlow code can be found in the init_dll_loader() function of the following code: https://github.com/brainflow-dev/brainflow/blob/master/src/board_controller/ble_lib_board.cpp That function calls DLLLoader(), which can be found here: https://github.com/brainflow-dev/brainflow/blob/master/src/utils/inc/runtime_dll_loader.h Thanks in advance for your thoughtful suggestions and comments.

I'm encountering a problem on some Iphone models with photo gallery authorization. On some devices, the authorization only displays "add photos" and "None". However, for many devices, most of them have "Full access", "Limited access" and "None" authorizations, which means that you can't access the gallery. Example of device affected by the bug: Iphone 11 IOS 17.3. I tested on an emulator with the same version, but it works with all 3 authorizations. In Info.plist , I have the following information: NSCameraUsageDescription The application wants to have access to your camera to help you add photos to your worksites. NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription The application wants access to your photos to help you add photos to your building sites. NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription The application wants access to your photos to help you add photos to your worksites.
