App Store Connect 2.0.1 is now available on the App Store. This update includes stability improvements and bug fixes.

November 12, 2024

App Store Connect 2.0 is now available on the App Store. This update includes a refreshed UI and the ability to generate marketing assets and easily share them on social media channels, enabling you to promote key moments like new app launches, version updates, or when your app is featured in select placements on the Today tab in the App Store. You can also receive notifications when your app gets featured in select placements on the Today tab — for example as App of the Day or Game of the Day.

Additionally, this update includes stability improvements and bug fixes.

You can now submit apps built with Xcode 16.1 RC using the SDKs for iOS 18.1 RC, iPadOS 18.1 RC, macOS 15.1 RC, tvOS 18.1 RC, visionOS 2.1 RC, and watchOS 11.1 RC for the App Store, and for internal and external testing through TestFlight.

Starting today, the Sales and Trends tool in App Store Connect offers a downloadable win-back eligibility report, which can help you estimate the number of subscriptions eligible for a win-back offer. Existing subscription metrics and reports have also been updated to include win-back offer data, enabling you to better measure the performance of specific offers available in your app.

You can now submit apps built with Xcode 16 using the SDKs for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, tvOS 18, visionOS 2, and watchOS 11 for the App Store, and for internal and external testing through TestFlight.

Note: Due to an issue causing apps to crash on launch on an OS version earlier than macOS 15, iOS 18, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, or visionOS 2, you cannot submit apps built with Xcode 16RC.

Starting today, when uploading app screenshots, you’re only required to provide a single screenshot (6.5" or 6.9") for iPhone and single screenshot (13") for iPad with your app submission. If you prefer, you can still provide screenshots for any iPhone and iPad display sizes that aren’t required.

You can now submit apps built with Xcode 16 Release Candidate using the SDKs for iOS 18 RC, iPadOS 18 RC, macOS 15 RC, tvOS 18 RC, visionOS 2 RC, and watchOS 11 RC for the App Store, and for internal and external testing through TestFlight, with support for the following:

  • Spatial Audio Profile on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS
  • Head Pose on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS
  • FSKit Module on macOS
  • Format Reader and Video Decoder media extensions on macOS
  • RAW Video Processor media extension on macOS

Starting today, App Store Connect no longer supports iCloud display sets. You can use a single entry in iCloud user settings and share other data among your apps by configuring them to use a single CloudKit container.

Payments and proceeds data is now available sooner each fiscal month in Payments and Financial Reports. Starting the first Wednesday: Data starts to appear for the previous fiscal month.
By the first Friday: Data for the previous fiscal month continues to populate until reports are ready for all regions.

You can now submit apps built with Xcode 15.3 Release Candidate using the SDK for iOS 17.4 Release Candidate and iPadOS 17.4 Release Candidate for the App Store, and for internal and external testing through TestFlight.

App Analytics now provides more than a dozen metrics for visionOS apps, including data about user acquisition, engagement, and monetization. Data is available for apps built for visionOS, as well as existing iPadOS and iOS apps running on Apple Vision Pro.

This update includes changes to app statuses:

  • Ready for Sale has been renamed to Ready for Distribution, and now indicates that your app can be published. To view if your app is available on the App Store, visit Pricing and Availability.
  • Developer Removed from Sale, Removed from Sale, and Pending Agreement are no longer app statuses.

This update also provides support for features related to alternative app distribution in the European Union. You can now:

  • Add alternative app marketplaces.
  • Generate alternative distribution packages.
  • Turn on notifications to automatically inform alternative app marketplaces about package updates.
  • Submit iOS apps for Notarization.

The Apple sandbox environment lets you test in-app purchases on devices using the product information that you set up in App Store Connect. Now you can change a test account’s storefront, adjust subscription renewal rates, clear purchase history, and simulate interrupted purchase flows directly on your iPhone or iPad, in addition to in App Store Connect. You can also test Family Sharing using Sandbox Test Families in App Store Connect, allowing testers to share access to auto-renewable subscriptions and non-consumables with up to five test family members.

You can now access a monthly Transaction Tax Report, which summarizes sales tax, use tax, goods and services tax, and other similar taxes applied on your transactions where Apple administers tax. This report is available for sales completed on the App Store in the United States and Canada.

You can now choose to apply Billing Grace Period only to existing paid renewals or continue applying it to all subscription renewals (existing paid renewals and free offers transitioning to paid renewals). You can also choose a duration of 3, 16, or 28 days instead of having the duration predefined based on your subscription length. When you enable Billing Grace Period in App Store Connect, Apple attempts to address any subscriber billing issues and recover the subscription while subscribers retain access to subscription benefits. If the subscription is recovered within this period, there’s no interruption to the days of paid service or to your revenue.

As of January 1, 2023, the euro (EUR) is the official currency of Croatia, replacing the Croatian kuna (HRK). Price tiers in App Store Connect have be converted to euros using the statutory fixed conversion rate of 7.53450 HRK = 1.00000 EUR established by the Council of the European Union on July 12, 2022.
