Update Apple ID phone number

I'm gettign this too. Can't find a way around it yet. It's on Mac, and multiple iOS devices.

I’m getting the same thing.

Ok, just head to appleid.apple.com and add an additional phone number to verified numbers. Prompt imediately went away for me.

If you don't have an additional number handy, you can just add the same existing Trusted number again and this also clears the prompt.

That didn't work for me. appleid.apple.com prompts me that "this number is already used for a trusted device" - or something along those lines. Or did you mean to delete existing one and replace with the identical one?

Close the settings app from the app switcher. Then go back into settings and turn off iMessage and FaceTime. Now, go into your Apple ID in, then password and security, and then edit trusted number. Just press add number and put your current one. You should get a text code, and because of iOS 12, it should auto-fill the code for you. Then you just accept it and the message will go away. Then you can turn iMessage and facetime back on. That’s what worked for me!
