Messages & FaceTime hang on load

Question

Anyone else unable to open Messages or FaceTime since upgrading to macOS 10.14 beta 2?

Both apps hang prior to their UIs being displayed for me. Rebooting doesn't help.

Are you using Target Display Mode (MBP -> iMac)?

I have the same issue but only in TDM (and not before on beta 1)

I have this issue also in non TDM, but only with FaceTime. Messages works like expected.

Yes, that will be the Only Option for us, i have the same Problem on my Macs.

imessage is fine, bit FaceTime dosent start normal. i have to kill it.

Without an external display setup facetime and whatsapp both work (even using discrete GPU)

With a USB-C monitor (LG27UD88) connected facetime and whatsapp both hang

This is on a 2016 MBP Touchbar 15"

I was having that same issue only I was coming at it via the camera...
