So, I’m on my iPhone 7 CDMA running iOS 12 Beta 2, and when I go to software update to try to download Beta 3, it’s not there. It says I’m up to date, yet the beta shows up in the downloads section of my developer account. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Beta 3 Not Showing Up
Ah, figured it out. As it turns out, I also have the watchOS 4 beta profile installed (on both my watch and my phone) because it was the fix to a watch updating issue I had. As I was posting the original problem, I decided to reinstall the iOS 12 profile, and it showed up. However, because I’m so OCD, I also reinstalled the watch profile so they would be in their original order. After doing that, the update was gone again!
I believe something about the order of the internal profiles affects what updates can be fetched, because I tried reinstalling the iOS profile again and the update is back. Hopefully I’m the only one facing this (and potentially having to do this process over whenever a new update is released for either device), but if anyone else is having this issue, try this solution.
