Createinstallmedia - High Sierra - nogo

I'm on HS. Trying to make a bootable USB for a MacBook Air that I have for development and I need to re-image anyway. Downloaded the Mojave installer and when I run it:

sudo ./createinstallmedia --downloadassets --volume /Volumes/Untitled/

I get this:

To use this tool, you must download the macOS installer application on a Mac with 10.12.5 or later, or El Capitan 10.11.6. For more information, please see the following: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT201372.

However…I'm on High Sierra 10.13.5 (17F77)

Any ideas?

Experiencing the same issue. The utility worked fine on the first beta.

Also, when I run the actual installer it fails and shows an alert after clicking 'Continue'.

Installation of macOS could not continue.

Installation requires downloading important content. That content can't be downloaded at this time. Try again later.

Do you get that too?

Yup. Same error installing Mojave through its installer.

So I did get the beta installed by downloading it onto USB from another machine. Once I installed it though, it can't do software updates. So…this is very weird. I might just wipe and restart - but I kind of want to keep it the way it is so I can figure out what the problem is. This machine isn't my primary.
