I updated to beta 3 and my phone app won't show any "favorites" and any calls or texts messages show only the phone number and not the associated contact info. I tried both an in place upgrade, restore from back up and a setup watch as new. Anyone else missing contact info?

Then had to reboot twice over the next couple of hours and now everything is working.
Problem may actually be with iOS 12 beta 3. My iPhone is on iOS 12 beta 3, my Apple Watch is on watchOS 4.3.2 and I have no contacts on my Apple Watch.
Troubles are back"
- No Siri on Watch at all. It wants to listen, but does not register your command.
- Back to phone numbers instead of contact names

Yes, I think that 99% is caused by iOS 12 beta 3.
Same here. Tried the repair and no go. The reset sync data function is busted too. Bad beta
Same for me. I have tried everything possible to restore my Contacts:
- Unpair/repair
- Reset Data
- Reset watch
I have tried to restore from backup, start as new about 10 times, all i have found is that whenever i restore or unpair the watch goes into boot loop and have to force start, multiple times.
This is a real shame and a really bad beta. The first beta (2nd release) toasted by Apple Watch, had to send it back to Apple Care and it was replaced rather than fixed, even though i get a status of unable to reproduce (Gee it's really hard just turn it on and it freezes), and email from apple saying they couldn't proceed with repair. Nice surprise to get a new watch.
Waited until Walkie Talkie was available before trying again as i didn't want to risk toasting another watch.
This is a really poor and disappointing release, not sure if i have higher expectations than others, but i don't understand how you can break so many things when making an update, surely we are not building the OS from the ground up.
Guess i just have to wait for the next beta release and hope they fix this fundamental flaw.
Tried the unsync my Apple Watch and resync my Apple Watch and contacts still missing. I can”t remember, should there actually be an app on the Apple Watch for contacts. And again I must state my iPhone is the only device running the beta, not my Apple Watch. The problem iris with the iOS 12 beta 3 release. I’ll open a ticket.
So far for me the contacts come and go. Sometimes I get notifications with names and sometimes they're just numbers. Mostly just the numbers though.
At least I'm learning people's phone numbers again. ;-)
Did today's (July 17th) updates fix any of this?
Not for me. Same issue with iOS 12 beta 4.
Fixed for me in beta 4 (phone and watch on beta 4), using apple watch series 2.
ios 12 beta 4 and watch os5 b4 fixes contacts issue for me I did find that initially no contacts but using watch reset and resync fixed issue. My partner had same issue but for him just waiting resolves issue
