A new issue has come up when using Siri. The simple Siri command: "Siri call John Adams, mobile" when there is, in fact, a mobile number for John Adams that can be clicked in Contacts and called, returns the following:
"There's no mobile number for John Adams. Would you like to use the home number instead?"
Further, there is a home number in the contact for John Adams, and if I reply, "yes" it dials the home (not mobile) number.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Yes, the exact same thing for me on my iPhone X running iOS 12 beta 9. I’m just about finished installing beta 10 and will report back if this is fixed.
Beta 10 appears to have solved this for me.
had the same issue on beta 9. 10 has fixed it for me it seems.
Installed beta 10. Force restarted iPhone X. Mobile number problem persists. Did anyone do something besides install to resolve the issue?
This still occurs for me in Beta 10– today it happened with a home number as well. Changing the type of number back and forth sometimes corrects it. Please file bug report.

Just installed Beta 11 and this is still not solved. Getting close to gold master better solve this quick.

Ok not sure why this is working now. I have an iPhone X running iOS 12 beta 11 and I just asked SIRI to call someone in my contacts that also has an iPhone. SIRI completed the command successfully. It must have been an issue with the SIRI service and not something on the phone. Let's see if it lasts now.
Weird. Siri is working for me now as well. I guess I traded that bug for the constant nag to update to a nonexistent new beta (just like a bunch of others).
In the past 2 weeks Siri will not call my contacts but instead looks for names on the web. Example: 'Call John Dough" (i have a John Dough in my contacts) Siri will then search the web and call some random number that sounds like John Dough. Even my wife, who I have called for years, now SIri will search the web and call someone or company not in my contacts. Siri will recognize both when I request Siri to text my contacts, just not when I ask Siri to call. I am running latest iOS on a iPhone 12max plus. Cookies were cleared. Reset network setting. Restarted phone. Issue won't go away. 2 other people i know with iphones newer than mine also having similar issues.
I just got a new iPhone 16, and I'm having the exact same issue. Siri will text my contacts, no problem, but when I ask her to call, she defaults to a web search. This is a brand new phone. I'm unable to fix this in settings, restarting, etc.
