I have a few USB 2 drives that I have set up for 2 and 4 HFS+ partitions respectively.
On an older 2014 native USB equipped MBP running 10.14.1 the drive partitions mount as expected and when dragged to the trash, dismount normally.
Same drives(s) on 10.14.1 (2017 TouchBar 15in MBPro) with either an Anker or CableMatters USB-C adapter mount OK, but when ejected, only the 1st partition ejects, leaving the other partitions on the Desktop. Transfer speeds are also way slow.
No amount of dragging or force ejecting helps....Crashes Finder...
Only a restart resolves.
