If a user requests Apple to give them a refund for a subscription they purchased, will Apple grant them this? Considering that they subscribed and maybe forgot to cancel.

Yes, I have had many subcription refunds. The majority of people won't get a refund though. Yes, if they get a refund it will be taken out of your apps revenue.
