I'm about to submit a game I've been working on for a while (First time ever submitting to Apple App Store).
I get into App Store Connect and see the warning "Chinese law now requires online games to secure an approval number from the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television. You can enter your game’s approval number and date below."
From the research I've done, searching here and other forums via google, it doesn't seem like the process is worthwhile for a small indie dev like myself. I've already unchecked China from the selected territories in "Pricing and Availability". So my question is...
Do I also need to uncheck Hong Kong? Trying to avoid app rejection.
Thanks.
Not sure you'd be rejected during review, just not allowed to sell into HK, but sure, in the example where a game has not been properly licensed for China, deselect both.
Otherwise, you might want to ask support directly to learn the current status...use the 'Contact Us' link below.
Good luck.
