March 2019 -- iPad Pros

With regards to this statement:

"Starting March 2019, all iOS apps submitted to the App Store will need to be built with the iOS 12.1 SDK or later, and support the all-screen design of iPhone XS Max or the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation)."

Does this mean that apps that run on certain iPads in letterboxed mode will no longer be accepted? In addition as far as I can tell iPad 11" and iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd Gen requires Launch Storyboard for native support. Does this mean that Launch Storyboards would be required and Launch Images will no longer be supported?

Thanks

No, not what it says, you're reading in something that goes beyond the new mandate as a separate topic.

As for launch images, I've seen no current references to their demise.
