I created an .iso and booted up the virtual machine. Initiated the install, and before installation was complete, I saw a screen (like verbose mode) and I could see that the installer initiated umnounting all drives/disks attached and initiated shutdown. But when I reboot the VM, it is stuck on the infamous startup.nsh screen.
Yes, I know it wants the boot.efi file, but it doesn't appear anywhere.
How did you go about creating the ISO?
hdiutil create -o /tmp/Catalina -size 8000m -layout SPUD -fs HFS+J
hdiutil attach /tmp/Catalina.dmg -noverify -mountpoint /Volumes/install_build
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ 10.15\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createins$
hdiutil convert /tmp/Catalina.dmg -format UDTO -o ~/Downloads/Catalina
mv ~/Downloads/Catalina.cdr ~/Downloads/Catalina.isoYou will find your .iso in ~/Downloads
I made a post in reddit. This contains all the steps you should do to INSTALL macOS Catalina Dev Beta 1. But I am facing issues during installation.
After you follow my steps, your installation will resume. But, (assuming you didn't do anything different), your installation will be stuck at "About 13 minutes remaining..." 😔
I had the same, "stuck" issue when I was installing 10.15 via Parallels. After a couple of hours I did a hard reset and then the Mac booted the O/S loaded and functioned normally. Been running great ever since.

Hi, when i run the cammond 'sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ 10.15\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createins$' i get file not found? Please help 🙂
