Many people who downgraded back to iOS 8.4 and deleted the profile (like you) because they did not want to get updates for iOS 9 still get them in Software Update, so it probably doesn't matter that you don't have it any more - it seems to do all its job at the beginning - i.e. there's a good chance you will continue to get Public Beta updates anyway even without the profile!
