I want to downgrade from macOS Catalina 10.15 Beta to the current release version macOS Mojave 10.14.6
Is there any step-by-step guidance on steps/protocol I must follow so that I do this right first time - i.e. my other data files are preserved etc

For preserving the data i recommend making a time machine backup. or drag&drop to a usb/external drive.
