How to remove app from store with active subscriptions ?

Hi there,

I have an app live in the store with IAP subscriptions (monthly and yearly).

1. How can i remove the IAP first before removing the app and prevent auto-renewals ?

2. How can I remove the app later from the store, what will happen to people with active subscriptions which have not expired? Can I refund them somehow ?

Our application is completely backend based, most of the data and services are run via the cloud.

We might have shutdown the application and backend servers in some due to reasons beyond our control. What should be the suggested approach in that case ?

But this comes down to a pair of refund request scenarios...where they go to Apple, and/or the dev.

Apple prorates or denies based on how far along the user is in the period; the dev can consider pushing an update to the app before pulling it that includes an atypical refund button while announcing EOL. The button would result in direct communication between the dev and users with refund details, etc.
