Pressure In Illustrator Not Working

I know this is quite possibly an adobe issue, but pressure as a controller is greyed out in illustrator on the latest beta while sidecar is connected. Trying to get pressure sensitivity from the apple pencil to work in the program. Works in photoshop, and illustrator is in the list of currently compatible apps. When this happened with Wacom tablets in past, it meant you needed to update your wacom drivers, nothing like that for apple pencil though.

Anyone had any luck with pressure on the ipad in sidecar for illustrator?

Latest ipad Pro, and 2017 iMac with beta 10.15.

You have probably already solved this issue - but maybe someone else hasn't.
In Illustrator you just add a new wacom6D brush! (still using your AirPlay-connected/extended iPad - not a Wacom board)

In the brush window, click the properties (top-right corner - 3 horizontal lines)
Click the "Open brush library" (second from the bottom, in my Illustrator-version) and choose "WACOM 6D brushes" -> "WACOM 6D-brush".
Now, you will see that the previously "grayed-out" "pressure" option, is selected and by this magic your iPad will detect pressure when drawing! :D
