In-app purchases rejected

All of the in-app purchases for a new app have been rejected. They all show a status of "Developer Action Needed". Going to each individual in-app purchase shows an exclamation sign with "Your In-App Purchase has been returned. You must modify or delete the highlighted item." What is highlighted is the word "English" under "Languages". The Display Name and Description are fine.

Apple developer support can't tell me why. The review people tell me to read the guidelines. I have. We have very similar apps with very similar in-app purchases and they were approved. Apparently, developer support can't overrule the review people. If I can't get this resolved, our app will never be in the app store.

I had this issue long time ago. What I did is to put a space on the description and then save. Then the problem disappered.

"Developer Action Needed" != rejected.


If they had actually been rejected, you would have to make new ones with new product IDs and change your code to match. If the main app was rejected, but you had submitted it with associated new IAPs, then app review has to do something with the IAPs. To minimize the changes you have to make they just mark them "developer action needed". If they actually rejected them it would be more work for you.


Anyway, long story short, I believe hellopaul's suggestion is the way to move forward.

I tried that already and they were rejected again. Thanks for your input.

I do have the same problem. I resumit my app because i didn't how to update the "Keyword" without resumit my all app.


Now my application has been rejected 3 or 4 times even though it is exactly the same app without any modification except the Keyword in Itune Connect.


I did add a description text under "Description" in "Add Language" but still been rejected of the same raison.

You can provide them the screenshoot to show where to locate your in-app purchase items.

I did attach already a screenshot of one of my app view. But for be franc I don't know what type of picture I have to provide. I can make a screenshot of "in-app-purchase" in my itune connect, but it fell strange to me, and I will have to provide at least 2 screenshots.


It is possible to give me more details about this "in-app purchase item"?

You need to provide a screenshot showing where the in-app purchase can be made.

Put simply, it needs to show the item to purchase and a means to initiate that purchase.
