2.20 App Store Review Guidelines

Hey there. Not quite sure if this is the right place to ask. I recently found out about some devs who offer a special service on platforms like fiverr.com. They use one or two ready made business or game templates and customers can customise them to their needs (basically change a color here, change a name there). The developer then submits the app on behalf of his customers. So basically this particular developer account will hold hundreds of apps with the same game/templates. Is that legal in terms of 2.20 App Store Review Guidelines?

Sorry you got overlooked so long.

To answer your question, that's actually not the way it's supposed to work. The developer of whom you're speaking actually should not submit any apps under his own name—he's free to provide the app to the client, but it must be the client who signs and uploads the app. If the developer were to submit all of them under his name, (1) all of the apps would have him listed as the seller—not ideal 😕, (2) all of the money would go to the developer 😠, and (3) he would definitely run afoul of the regulations (and be kicked out of the Apple Developer Program). 😢

By the way, you did indeed put this in the right place.
