Apple Remote Desktop Excessive CPU Usage

Good morning Devs,

I've been noticing on 10.11 beta 3/4/5 that Apple Remote Desktop when connected to even a single observe session both Remote Desktop and ARD Agent are consistantly using over 95% CPU, spiking to 110% (boost). It's going so far and using so much cpu/power that it's actually draining the battery while plugged in.

I was at 100% battery, I've been on a single session with a Mac Mini Server and in 15 minutes I've lost 4 percent battery, as well as can't hear my own thoughts over the speed of the fan, temperatures are spiking rapidly from relative 24 Celsius to over 50 in a matter of about 7 seconds when an ARD session is initiated. The main control panel window does not cause this, only when joining to observe or control a session.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks!

Hey all,

Just a quick update, the initial execution of the app doesn't cause the CPU spike, but I am noticing that even after disconnecting from a session until I fully exit the application the CPU usage on both processes stays high and continues to drain the battery, as soon as I exit the app the battery starts charging again.

Yes, I am experiencing this too. This is happening after the Big Sur upgrade. Any idea how I can prevent it?
