Is Mail the worst application ever created?

Hi everybody,

In fact I don't know how to reach people working on Mail application, I've tried during the Yosemite beta, I'm trying now but nothing changes. Apart from hanging when quits or crashing while emptying the trash, two issues are never-ending problem:

Mail never, ever correctly shows number of unread messages. Starting from showing (1) if there is no new message or showing (5) when numbers displayed near folder names gives in total like 20. If you are using the "intelligent" (pun intended) mailbox the miscalculations are even worse.
WHY, please tell me why, when you want to change the language for spell checking, it takes: right click, "spelling and grammar", "show spelling and grammar", now a list of languages, select, "OK". There is no more simple way to do it??? Really? Ok, I CAN SURVIVE IT. I can. But, tell me, why, when I at the end change the language, I have to go to the start of each paragraph of the mail text, EACH(!), and press enter to recheck the spelling? And then next paragraph, and next, and next. It is really so difficult to rescan mail with new language settings? Or maybe I'm wrong and stupid?

Apple, PLEASE. Repair it after 5 versions of Mail.

You're right, we're not Apple here, just unaffilated developers of 3rd party apps 🙂

If you're a Public Beta tester then you can get your feedback/bug reports to Apple's Mail software engineers using the built-in Feedback Assistant app, which can be opened from the Dock on your Mac. The Feedback Assistant app is also available from the help menu of the Mail app by choosing 'Send Feedback’.

Hi,

I know. I thought that maybe someone, somwhere knows how to get them. I sent dozen of reports and nothing. Just crying of despair.

The only reason I went with mail was that I've a good search integration, including preview of mails, in spotlight - and not like PST kind of containers that I have in outlook.

Found out that in outlook 2016, no PST containers, and am migrating to it now.

aside from randomly crashing and going slow Mac mail has really out done themselves with the intelligent add on that now prioritizes spam.. lol now that’s intelligent …. I can only laugh as it just goes from bad to worse. if Steve Jobs was alive this would not happen as he was a perfectionist and would not allow such rubbish to enter the market
