App Publishing: Does my app contains encryption”?

I'm going to publish my app to App Store.

Well, my app is using networking to fetch data from TMDB API, but with only GET request, no user authentication. And it has Firebase Mobile Ads, which is a banner ads, that one requires networking too.

So, does my app contains encryption in this case? Should I choose YES or NO for it. Appreiated for any hint or help!

Are you based inside the US?

Please utilize the support channels for any 3rd party products you have chosen to work with.

My opinion is you can answer NO, but in the end, only App Review can decide.

As KMT said, I would ask them (TMDb).

I saw here they use authetication which could well use encryption

Yes, this method you list is using authentication. However, I only choose the methods, which doesn't require user login in TMDB API.

Like "/movie/popular" or "/movie/movieId".

Emm, at this point I think I should go first for publishing.

You could try to publish. I just advise to write a comment explaining the reason you said "no encryption".

Any app that uses https uses encryption.

Such apps should answer 'yes' to the first question (do you use encryption) and then state that they are subject to the exemption by answering yes to the second question (or is it that they are not using anything not subject to the exemption by answering no to the second question - I forgot).
